Hand Built Berry Bowl at Art Explorations of Western NC, 95F Slope St, Bryson City, NC 28713
Level: Intermediate – age 14 and up.

No previous experience is required to create this sweet berry bowl OR Garlic & Herb Bowl!
You’ll receive pre slab rolled stoneware clay, which you will then smooth and cut out with the pattern pieces provided. You’ll shape, join the clay using the score and slip technique, shaping it into the bowl. You may add a handle or carve one (The one pictured is carved)
What is provided: Everything you need to create your one of a kind berry bowl! Instruction, ware boards to shape and manage your clay project. Slab rolled clay, patterns, tools for smoothing, scoring, and finishing and slip for joining. I’ll have glaze color choices, and you get to pick the colors for your finished piece.
Your creations will then be brought back to my studio for drying, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing.
You are invited to bring your own beverages, including wine or beer, to enjoy during class.
Finished glazed projects will be returned to Art Explorations for pick up, within 3 to 4 weeks of the class.
